Submission of papers

Each participant may submit up to 2 papers as first author and co-author on the same registration fee.

The proceedings of EHB 2019 will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore® data base, and will be submitted for inclusion to Clarivate Analytics Web of Science Core Collection (former ISI-Proceedings).


EHB 2011, EHB 2013, EHB 2015 and EHB 2017 were already accepted and indexed in ISI Conference Proceedings Citation Index.

The review process requires full paper submission.

All submissions will be written in English (USA), with a maximum paper length of 4 pages (and minimum of 3.5 pages) for regular papers and 6 pages for invited papers. Yet, if authors want to write their paper with 6 pages in length, they have to pay an extra fee of 100 euros. The standard IEEE manuscript template for conference proceedings must be used.

The best papers 

will be selected to be developed and they will be proposed for publishing (free of charge) in the 2019 and 2018 years issues of the periodical research journals, ISI rated: 

  • Methods of Information in Medicine, ISSN 0026-1270, https://methods.schattauer.de, JRC Impact Factor 2014: 1.5 (2017) 
  • Advances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, ISSN: 1582-7445, e-ISSN: 1844-7600, www.aece.ro, JCR Impact Factor: 0.7.

Only PDF files are accepted for the review process.

The official language of EHB 2019 is English.

A poster presentation session for all topics will be organized during EHB conference. We remind you that by default the paper presentation at EHB 2019 is oral (in MS-PP) and those authors who want a poster presentation have to specify this option by sending an empty email with subject "Poster - Paper ID Number (please indicate your paper ID)" at poster@ehbconference.ro.  


A first camera ready manuscript

The camera ready manuscript in A4 format (21 x 29,7 cm) should have 4 pages (and minimum of 3.5 pages) in length and invited papers may have 4 or 6 pages (PDF file format only, maximum 2 MB), and must conform to IEEE double column format. Submissions exceeding 6 pages will be rejected.

Do NOT insert any headers, footers, or page numbers, and do NOT apply security settings to your PDF file. Templates for papers are available below in DOC format, without and with authors’ names, respectively. Violations of the paper template or the paper length (4 pages) will not be accepted.

The submission process


Step one

Submit a paper at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ehb2019, beginning with 15 August 2019 and until 20 September 2019 1October 2019  WITHOUT AUTHOR’S NAME AND AFFILIATION, for the double blind reviewing purpose.

Step two

The submitted manuscript will be reviewed through a peer reviewing process to ensure its appropriate technical quality. The manuscript should clearly define the outlining concepts and original features of the work. Be certain to acknowledge previous works to distinguish your originality from them (papers will be checked against plagiarism using a specialized software).
 

Step three

After paper acceptance, the final camera ready manuscript submission will be done by 25 October 2019, by using the same easyChair system. For the final camera ready paper, the reviewers’ comments received by a notification e-mail have to be taken into account. The English has to be carefully checked. Please do not forget to add authors' names, affiliation, and e-mail addresses to the final paper.
 

Step four

IEEE copyright.  For each accepted paper the corresponding author must send in PDF format a signed and scanned IEEE copyright by 25 October 2019, at the address: copyright@ehbconference.ro.  This step is mandatory for including your papers in Xplore database. Please indicate your  ID paper in message subject. This step is mandatory for including your papers in Xplore database.

Step five

All accepted authors will upload their final camera ready papers on the same page of  easyChair site as for their first submission, in PDF format, as follows:

1) add the EHB header AND the IEEE copyright notice on the first page of the paper, as shown on camera-ready template below;

2) check the compatibility of your papers with IEEE Xplore database, by using the site www.pdf-express.org. The conference ID is 47216X . It is preferable to send to the PDF eXpress portal the Word version of your paper to be translated in PDF format. The result of this checking will be a PDF file as shown below, that complies with Xplore database. As a distinctive sign, it has in "Attachments" field a logo and the word "IEEE.joboptions".

3) the .pdf file will be UPLOAD on EHB-easyChair site (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ehb2019) beginning with 15 August 2019 and untill 20 September 2019 1 October 2019.

Step six

All authors must pay the non-refundable registration fee.  See Call for Papers menu for details.
